A NUMBER of people have been arrested following police drugs raids in Wrexham.
The Advertizer reported on Thursday about raids in the Chirk, Pen-Y-Cae and Rhos areas which led to a man being arrested.
Further raids were conducted in the same areas on Friday based on intelligence received from the local community.
North Wales Police's Wrexham Rural says a "significant amount" of "illegal substances" and cannabis plants have been recovered, and that a number of people have been arrested in connection with the findings.
Sgt Tom Dewberry said: “This demonstrates our commitment to taking action against those who cause harm in our communities.
"I would like to encourage those with information to report it either through 101, online or anonymously at Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."
