FLOOD alerts are in place for the Upper River Sivern in Powys and the Vyrnwy catchment area.
Natural Resources Wales has issued an amber alert for both areas.
The following roads could be affected by flooding; The A490 at Cilcewydd and the Trehelig Crossroads. B4393 near Llandrinio Bridge. Many low lying minor roads are affected in the area.
At 7.30am, the level at Meifod was 2.13 metres and rising. A peak level of between 2.15 and 2.35 metres is expected to occur this morning. The level at Llanymynech was 2.74 metres and rising. A peak level of between 3.60 and 4.0 metres is expected to occur this afternoon.
The B4393 near Llansantffraid Bridge could be affected by flooding. Many low lying minor roads are affected in the area.
