CHIRK Surgery is urging those registered with the practice to remain patient as staff await the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Vaccines are yet to be administered at Chirk Surgery, Castle Health Centre, but it is hoped they will be delivered in the coming days.

A message on the surgery’s website confirmed over-80s will be first to be vaccinated.

People are being encouraged to make every effort they can to attend the appointment they are offered.

The message said: “We know this can be an anxious time for everyone and we are asking for your patience while we await delivery of the vaccine to the surgery.

“Please make every effort to attend the appointment you are offered.

“We will have to work our way through the priority groups in order and, as a practice, we are 100 per cent committed to doing this as quickly as we possibly can, depending on vaccine supply.

“Our patients who reside in England will be included as they are registered with a Welsh practice.”
