APPLETON Police have fined two people from separate households for travelling together from Didsbury to Fox Covert 'to see the view'.
The driver and their passenger were given fixed penalty notices when they were stopped in Red Lane on Saturday at about 10pm.
The Green Flag award-winning Fox Covert Cemetery has a viewing platform with a panorama of Warrington where you can sometimes see as far as Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and the Winter Hill transmitter near Rivington.
A spokesman for Appleton Police said: "Now more than ever we need everyone to stick to the rules so that we can protect the NHS and save lives."
It comes just days after four people were fined for holding a children's birthday party in Warrington during the lockdown.
One of the adults had travelled from Birmingham to attend.
