A SHOP and delivery service in Flintshire will continue to offer its support to the community.
The Mold Community Shop, which is based at the Daniel Owen Centre, is run by a small group of volunteers who provide a service to people that are shielding or are unable to get a delivery slot locally.
Councillors Gareth Williams and Karen Hodgkinson organised the not-for-profit initiative earlier last year to help residents during Covid-19, which also allows for people to walk in and buy stock including items such as bread, milk, eggs, yoghurts, bacon and fruit and veg.
Cllr Williams, said: "Delivery is within the hour and payments can be made by card on the phone or in cash.
"A buy it forward scheme has also been set up to help families that have been furloughed.
"We are also taking donations of no perishable food to also help support families in the area."
The shop is open 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday and orders can be placed by calling 01352 754792 or by emailing danielowencmold@hotmail.com.
The shop is open 10am until 1pm on a Saturday.
All produce is sourced locally to support local businesses.
