MEMBERS of an Oswestry-based Rotary club have answered the call to arms to help the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccination at a local hospital.

The call went out from the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH) for volunteers to help at their new Covid-19 vaccination hub.

And members from the Oswestry Cambrian Rotary were one of the first groups to answer that call.

President Robin Brown is pleased the group is able to help.

He said: “Community help is what Rotary does so it was natural that we would volunteer for this important role to assist the hospital.

“We have a relationship already with the RJAH on various projects at the hospital, so we are pleased to help on this one.”

Anyone that wishes to be considered for volunteering should contact the League of Friends at the hospital directly.

However, volunteers will not be entitled to receive a vaccination just for performing that role.
