THE body of a man was found in Chirk over the weekend, police have confirmed.

North Wales Police was alerted to the discovery shortly before midday on Sunday.

A spokesman for the force confirmed today: "We were called at 11.55am, January 10, to reports of a body of a man was sadly found at the canal in Chirk."
