THE British Red Cross is inviting everyone to pour a cup of kindness this December.

The ‘Cup of Kindness’ tea party campaign encourages people to stay in touch safely at this special time of year by hosting a festive tea party online with friends and family whilst also raising vital funds.

The money raised will enable the Red Cross to continue supporting those hit hardest by the pandemic.

Jess Burden, senior community fundraiser at the charity, said: "We know if there is one thing we can all enjoy together, it’s a lovely cuppa.

"Whether you drink Earl Grey, Spiced Chai or good old English Breakfast, we can all pour a cup of kindness to help our volunteers support vulnerable people in our local communities.

"Red Cross volunteers are supporting people across Wales during the pandemic, as well as helping to tackle the silent epidemic of loneliness by offering a listening ear on our national helpline every single day.

"And of course, despite Covid-19, everyday emergencies such as fires, floods and severe weather continue to happen.

"Our emergency response volunteers are on stand-by 24/7 to support people affected by all sorts of unexpected crises."

Sign up now and you will receive a digital tea party pack with everything you need to make it happen, including recipes, a quiz and fun downloadable bunting to bring a smile to your friends’ faces.
