A FORMER office building and three retail units in Wrexham town centre are to go under the hammer next month.

The vacant three-storey Trinity House, which has planning consent in place to convert it into studio apartments, has a guide price of £100,000.

The building, which fronts onto both Trinity Street and Lord Street, is up for auction on December 9.

Also going under the hammer are retail units at 3-5, 5a and 7a Trinity Street, which all form a parade of ground-floor shops below the office building.

Both units at 3-5 and 5a Trinity Street have a guide price of £58,000, while 7a is valued at £75,000.

In relation to Trinity House, which has been closed for a number of years, property auction experts Pugh state: "A development opportunity comprising a substantial three storey former office building benefitting from approved planning consent to convert into 17 studio apartments.

"Plans have also been drawn to create two further apartments on the third floor, subject to planning consent. The property is offered with vacant possession."

It adds: "The building fronts onto Trinity Street and Lord Street in the heart of Wrexham town centre, above a small parade of shops opposite the main bus station and within a stone's throw of a variety of retailers, bars and restaurants.

"A Co-op food store is located on the corner ground floor of the building with the main student campus of Coleg Cambria a short two minutes walk away."

  • Pugh will be holding its online auction from 9am on December 9 with bidding opening the day before. Trinity House is lot 73, while the retail units are lots 74-76. For more information visit pugh-auctions.com
