ROB MCELHENNEY has dropped a big hint that Peter Moore could become chief executive at Wrexham when he and fellow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds complete their takeover of the club.
Owners-elect McElhenney and Reynolds told fans during a recent zoom meeting that hiring a proven chief executive to run the club in their absence is key to their plans for success at The Racecourse.
Businessman Moore, who completed a three-year stint as CEO of Liverpool Football Club in August, has been linked with the position when the actors take control of the Reds.
And speculation intensified when McElhenny posted a picture on his twitter account of he and Moore together with the words: "Never get into an airplane unless you trust the people flying it. @Wrexham_AFC @VancityReynolds @LFC @PeterMooreLFC."
