A CRAFTS organisation is helping people self-isolating in the north of Powys stay busy during lockdown with online courses and fortnightly Zoom meetings.

‘Felting Focus’ with Jane Hunter is an online craft and wellbeing group being run by Arts Connection that will be hosting eight workshops over the winter for those shielding due to coronavirus.

The Zoom sessions are held every other Wednesday from 11am-12.30pm and will be taking place on November 11 and 25, December 9, January 13 and 27, February 10 and 24 and March 10.

Arts Connection have 25 spaces available on this course aimed at adults of any age who are shielding due to Covid-19.

Each participant will be sent a free felting kit including all materials and tools they need to get started. Each session will happen on Zoom and be hosted by professional artist Jane who will lead participants through different creative activities.

The project is aimed at adults in the shielding category, creating a welcoming space to share creativity and offload some stress. The tactile nature of felting is very soothing and accessible to people with conditions such as arthritis or other physical disabilities.
