DESPITE the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, one couple have had something memorable and special to celebrate this year as they marked six decades of marriage.
The Reverend Glyn Morgan and his wife Margaret have recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary near Meifod.
During the couple’s 60 years together to date, Reverend Morgan has been fondly known as the vicar of Meifod during the late 1980s and through into the 1990s.
He has also continued to serve many other parishes in the local area since.
The couple have witnessed many changes during their six decades of marriage.
In the year the Morgans wed Harold McMillan was the British Prime Minister, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Geoffrey Fisher became the first leader of the Anglican church to meet with a Pope while the soon to be world famous Beatles’ played their first ever concert.
