FIREFIGHTERS and police were called to a vehicle fire near Ellesmere on Sunday.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 5.25pm with reports of a car fire in Dudleston Heath.

A fire engine from Ellesmere was sent to the incident, with West Mercia Police also in attendance.

The fire crew used a hosereel jets and breathing apparatus while putting out the fire involving an estate car.

Firefighters spent 25 minutes at the scene.
