A DRUNK woman threatened to kill police officers and urinated in the street after downing a bottle of vodka, a court has heard.
Samantha Watkins was reportedly unconscious when police arrived in the Station Crescent area of Llandrindod Wells on September 4 but then became aggressive and abusive towards them when she woke up.
She pleaded guilty on Wednesday, September 23, to being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Prosecutor Stephen Davies told Llandrindod magistrates PCs Dicks and Williams had responded to reports of a woman being unconscious at around 6.30pm on the evening in question.
“She came to and became abusive, and ordered officers to take her home. She said ‘I’ll kill the lot of you’. Officers then followed her to Tudor Lane where she was seen urinating in the street.”
Acting in her own defence, Watkins, formerly of Sunningdale, Llandrindod, but now of Fern Square, Maesyrhandir, in Newtown, said she’d approached authorities for help with her drinking but had been unable to speak to anyone.
“I have been trying and I’ve been engaging again with my support worker,” said the 34-year-old.
Magistrates fined Watkins £80 and ordered her to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
