A VAN driver was taken to hospital after their vehicle collided with a tree.
The crash happened on Hooton Road, Willaston, shortly after 2.30pm today (September 23).
The road was temporarily shut while emergency services dealt with the incident and the vehicle was recovered.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "At 2.37pm today police were called to a one vehicle collision on Hooton Road, Ellesmere port.
"The vehicle collided with a tree. The driver was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital to be assessed."
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended the incident.
