WEM Town Council is set to discuss the issue of speeding in the town at this month's full council meeting.

The meeting, which will take tomorrow at 7pm over Zoom, will see councillors discuss a letter received from two concerned residents regarding the issue of speeding.

The letters sent to council highlight Station Road, Windmill Meadow and Summerfield Road as the chief areas for speeding.

Other issues to be discussed include the recent consultation over the removal of phoneboxes across Shropshire, a campaign to support the air ambulance and the rural services network.

Councillors will also receive reports from various committees and working groups, including from the economic forum and the events liaison group.

A number of planning applications are also set to be examined, including a change of use from an A2 class building (Financial and professional services) in High Street to a 'sui generis'.

According to the UK planning portal, sui generis covers betting shops and payday loan providers.

Another planning application has been proposed, for a tattoo parlour in High Street.

The meeting will take place from 7pm and can be joined via https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89976956089
