A DRIVER who was pulled over in Boscombe for having no insurance claimed to police she was on her way to sort it.

Police knew the silver Peugeot had been on the road without insurance for a while thanks to a national operation called Tutelage.

Operation Tutelage is a national policing initiative working to reduce the levels of uninsured driving on roads.

Advisory letters are sent to the registered keepers of vehicles seen on the road in circumstances where the current insurance status of the vehicle is unclear.

The lady had ignored the letters and knowingly took to the road without insurance.

She received six points, fined £300 and had her vehicle seized.
