WHITCHURCH Indoor Bowling Club is aiming for a 2021 start date for competition postponing this season's start date.
The club had been due to start the new season on October 12 but because of Covid-19, that date is no longer viable.
A new date of January 4 is being aimed for instead and club chairman Dave Simcock is hoping this can be achieved.
"Just to inform all members who attend the winter season of indoor bowling at the Civic Sports Hall that we will not be starting on October 12 as previously agreed because of Covid-19," he said.
"However we would hope to restart again if all goes well on January 4, 2021.
"The committee are very sorry for this to happen, but we consider the risk is too great to our membership.
"Keep safe and try to keep in contact with other members as a phone call can make a lot of difference to someone living on their own."
