A DISCARDED cigarette was the cause of a fire service callout in Oswestry on Sunday afternoon.
At 1.08pm on Sunday, September 13 firefighters received a call of a bin fire in Oswestry.
One crew was mobilised from Oswestry, with buckets of water being used to tackle the fire.
The fire itself was located in a rubbish bin and had accidentally been caused by a discarded cigarette.
Firefighters were on the scene until around 1.30pm.
