OSWESTRY police have pledged to investigate after nitrous oxide cannisters were left at a town centre spot last week.
The safer neighbourhood team (SNT) for Oswestry posted a picture on Twitter showing cannisters and a box had been left in the Oswestry Gateway area.
Police warned that the gas, which is also known as laughing gas, can potentially be very dangerous.
They have since said they will be looking into how the cannisters were dumped.
A spokesman for the SNT posted on Twitter: “Evidence of misuse of nitrous oxide, this can be potentially fatal, dumped in the Oswestry Gateway area under a CCTV camera.
“SNT will be following this up.”
