OSWESTRY Film Society’s new season starts on September 15 and features five films to tempt you back to the cinema after the long break because of Covid-19.

The Society is showing films on the first and third Tuesday of the month from September to November, starting September 15th with Love Sarah starring veteran British actor Celia Imrie.

Michael Hudson, from the society, says he is hoping the standard of films on offer will tempt people back to the big screen.

“Now Kinokulture cinema has re-opened, the film society is back to showing you the films you never knew you wanted to see," he said.

"Our short five film season has four recent films and a classic thriller from 1999.

"We start with feel good British comedy drama, Love Sarah, continue with a highly acclaimed US drama about gentrification and a bittersweet Yorkshire set film, The Runaways, with Mark Addy and Tara Fitzgerald.

"Then we celebrate the 20th anniversary of George Clooney’s breakout film, the wonderful Out of Sight, and end with a feminist retelling of a classic story in Judy & Punch. Something for everyone, basically.”

Tickets are £5-6 and you can find more information at www.oswestryfilmsociety.com
