POLICE from Oswestry have called for an end to littering after discovering rubbish which was left behind in Croeswylan Lane on Saturday.
Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) found the litter near River Morda.
Plastic bottles and paper plates were among the items left near the river.
Police posted an image to the Oswestry SNT Twitter page to urge people not to litter when visiting the area.
A spokesman for the SNT said: “If you or anyone you know are responsible for this mess on Croeswylan Lane, you should be ashamed of yourself.
“Dropping this much litter is disgusting and selfish, and dangerous to wildlife.
“Pick it up, bin it and take it home.”
