A PUB near Oswestry is catching the eye with a large and impressive flower display.

The Last Inn in Hengoed has flowers around the front door and exterior of the pub, thanks to the hard work and dedication of manager Jeremy Jordan.

Jeremy, who used to run the Golden Lion in Oswestry, arranged the flowers to cheer people up during lockdown.

Visitors and passers by have been stopping to take pictures of the displays.

Jeremy is happy to see people appreciating the flower display and raising morale after lockdown.

“It’s just something we did during lockdown just to try cheering everyone up,” he said.

“People who drive past often stop to take photographs of it when passing by, it’s amazing really.

“I love flowers myself – any pub I’ve ever had I make sure there’s a nice arrangement of flowers at the front.

“Years ago I had the Golden Lion and it was the same there – I won an Oswestry in Bloom prize and a mayor’s prize.

“It’s nice and satisfying to hear people praising it.”
