An angler from Hereford has caught the biggest trout of the season so far at Llyn Clywedog.
Christopher Cooper caught an “incredible” 16lb 4oz from the banks of the reservoir near Llanidloes on July 30.
A delighted Mr Cooper praised the “brilliant” Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery following his big catch.
He said: “Superbly managed by great people.
“Thank you to everybody involved especially the two guys who helped weigh and photograph the big fish for me”
Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery said: “Firstly congratulations to Christopher Cooper from Hereford on the biggest fish of the year so far, an incredible 16lb 4oz taken from the bank on a buzzer, that’s the second double in a week taken from the bank on a nymph”.
