BOSSES at an Oswestry food factory have confirmed there have been no more cases of Covid-19 at its premises since an increase in positive tests earlier in the month.
Staff at Arla Foods, based in Maes-Y-Clawdd, have seen no further cases of the virus for more than two weeks, the factory stated.
Earlier in July, there were 12 positive tests among employees at the Oswestry site, and bosses at the factory confirmed they were working with Public Health England and putting in further measures to protect staff.
The factory remains operational, and a spokesman complimented staff on their response to working under new conditions and measures.
They said: “We have had no confirmed cases at our Oswestry site for over two weeks.
“As with all our UK sites, Oswestry has implemented and maintained additional Covid-19 safety measures since March, whilst remaining operational.
“The efforts of our colleagues to adjust to these new ways of working have proven essential to continuing food production during these uncertain times.”
