AN INQUEST has opened into the case of a man found dead at a homeless project in Flintshire.
Daniel Nathan Riordan, 37, was found dead at Greenbank Villas supported living accommodation on Church Street in Flint on May 20.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said Mr Riordan had been a resident at Greenbank Villas - which supports homeless people, particularly those with alcohol and drugs related issues.
Mr Gittins said after Mr Riordan was found dead at the premises on May 20, a subsequent post mortem was undertaken into his death which found evidence of large amounts of alcohol and cocaine in his blood.
The results of the post mortem found a provisional cause of death to be alcohol toxicity (poisoning).
The matter will move to a full inquest at a date to be fixed.
