A PERSON has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering and fraud on their way to Welshpool.
Newtown's Road Policing Unit (RPU) confirmed that in a cross-border partnership with West Mercia Police, they stopped the occupant of a vehicle on the way to the town and made the arrest.
A spokesman for Newtown RPU tweeted: "Targeting travelling criminals with @SgtDamienK @WMerciaPolice
"Cross border partnership. Vehicle stopped travelling into Welshpool. Occupant arrested Money laundering and fraud offences. #counterfeit #partnership #OneTeam"
