A SEVEN-year-old from Oswestry has completed his challenge to walk 100 miles to raise funds for the town’s foodbank.

Harry Sampson, of Stewart Road, set his sights on walking 100 miles during the month of June, in an attempt to raise £100 for Oswestry and Borders Foodbank.

On June 23, Harry had already hit his target of walking 100 miles, and is now attempting to complete a further 25 miles before the month ends.

His efforts have been matched with donations, which have seen him smash his £100 target by raising a total of £585.

Harry’s parents, Dmitri and Angela Sampson, say he has been walking around many places across the area, including; Henlle woods, Brogyntyn, Old Oswestry, Nesscliffe, Colemere, Llanforda estate, the Racecourse, Morda, Weston, Attingham Park, Carding Mill Valley aswell as the town park and local lanes.
