AN OSWESTRY-BASED supporter of a charity which offers frontline support to seafarers is hoping people can donate to the cause.

Lisa Davies has been a long-term supporter of the Mersey Mission to Seafarers, based in Liverpool's docklands, and with Covid-19 restrictions making her unable to carry out her usual fundraising, she's come up with something different.

She has left a almost-brand new children's bike trailer at Mule, in Salop Road, and is hoping people will bid for it in order to make money for the charity.

She said: "Mersey Mission to Seafarers (MMS) are looking for funds so I thought I would help by leaving the trailer with the bike shop near Central Car Park.

"This is the kind of help that MMS needs support in.

"I am hoping to put a poster around Central Car park for the MMS,

"I would like to make it an auction, and it would be great for people to give donations and make offer for the MMS for the work they do."
