FIREFIGHTERS from Baschurch were joined by colleagues from Shrewsbury to tackle a house fire in Melverley, outside Oswestry, on Friday.
One crew from each station was sent to a house shortly after 12.30pm on Friday, and used chimney rods to put out the fire, which was caused by a wood burning stove.
An operations officer was in attendance and crews also used thermal imaging cameras and a knapsack, spending around two-and-a-half hours on scene.
