ONE of the organisers of a popular destination for older people in Whitchurch has thanked residents for their donations of wool for a special project.

Marge Huxley, who helps run the Senior Citizens Club in Whitchurch, has created more than 80 woollen rainbows to be displayed as part of support for the NHS.

She has been able to give them out to be displayed, and is still on the look out for more wool to keep it up.

A club spokesman said: "Marge would like to thank all those who donated wool for her to knit rainbows that celebrate the effort of NHS workers.

"She has knitted more 80 rainbows and given them away, but would like to knit even more, so that Whitchurch residents can display their appreciation and support for our NHS workers.
