HUGH Grosvenor, the former Ellesmere College student and Duke Of Westminster, remains the richest person in the UK under the age of 30 and into the Sunday Times Rich List Top 10.

The Duke of Westminster's reported wealth on the annual list is listed as £10.29 billion, a cool £6 billion behind Sir James Dyson, of household goods fame, who tops the 2020 list and has increased his net worth by £3 billion.

The Duke's property group has built all over the world, but closer to home it owns Liverpool One shopping centre and the family seat is at Eaton Hall, near Chester.

However, it is the 300 acres of Mayfair and Belgravia it owns in London, together with land in Cheshire, Oxford, Scotland and Spain, that has created much of the Duke's family wealth.

It is reported that the group has investments in 60 cities worldwide and half its assets outside the UK.

Meanwhile, Iceland Foods founder Malcolm Walker and family are listed as having a £265m fortune and is 12th on the list of the 20 wealthiest people in Wales.

Steve Morgan, whose foundation has donated millions across north Shropshire, including in Whitchurch and over the border into Cheshire and Malpas, is seventh on the Welsh list and has seen his wealth drop by nearly £200 million.

However, some of this has been accounted for in fighting the impact of COVID-19.
