ON TO our second helping of Tizer Bygones this week and we begin, clockwise from bottom left, with the official opening of the second phase of the Montgomery Canal back in the 1990s – isn’t it incredible to think how far they have come since then?
Next up is a cheque presentation for the Oswestry Army Cadets to Derwen College, and next to that another cheque presentation, this time at Oswestry Golf Club after they raised almost £2,500 for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
And finally, we have a book launch by local author David Armstrong. It would seem a talent for writing runs in the family as his son Jesse won a Golden Globe earlier this year for his work on the hit US show Succession.
