THE death of a delivery driver from Whittington has been ruled as suicide by a coroner.
Mark Norwood, 57, of Western Avenue, Whittington, was discovered by police at his home on Janurary 17, 2020.
Mr Norwood was discovered after he failed to turn up to work, with his co-workers sounding the alarm.
Police entered the address, and discovered he had taken his own life, leaving a note with his intentions.
At the inquest, held on Thursday, April 17, coroner John Ellery recorded a conclusion of suicide.
"On the January 17, police attended the deceased’s address after being contacted by his work colleagues as he had not turned up at work," said Mr Ellery.
"The police forced entry to the premises and found the deceased.
"Notes were left indicating his intention to kill himself."
