FIREFIGHTERS have cordoned off part of a Cheshire village road following a chemical spill.
Crews were called out to Parr Green Lane in Malpas at 10.42am today (April 7) after pesticide leaked from a tractor's spraying machine.
A fire engine from Malpas and another from Chester attended the scene.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters have been called to a chemical spill in Parr Green Lane, Malpas following reports pesticide had leaked from a tractor's spraying machine.
"Hay and sawdust has been used to soak up the spill and crews have cordoned off the area while highways brings sand to help soak up the chemical.
