THE MP for Clwyd South was full of praise for an Indian restaurant in Chirk which he formally opened on Friday.
Simon Baynes MP opened the Castle Tandoori restaurant, in Station Avenue, which was recently taken over by the owners of Castle Bistro, situated on the other side of the main road.
Mr Baynes joined the restaurant's new owners Reza Noori, Bulent Akarsu and Cumaali Acun, to officially open the refurbished building since it temporarily closed last month.
By taking over the Indian restaurant alongside running the Castle Bistro, the owners have been able to keep on and expand the staff.
Mr Baynes described the opening as an honour and was pleased with the meal he and his family enjoyed on the night.
βIt was a great honour to formally open the Castle Tandoori in Chirk," he said.
"It is proving very popular with bookings of over 100 people on Friday alone and my wife Maggie, our daughter Clemmie and I much enjoyed our delicious meal there after the opening ceremony.
"It has been very well designed: everything is brand new and it looks amazing, particularly the large windows looking out on to the town. I am sure it will go from strength to strength.β
