OSWESTRY Town Council will be updated with the latest developments at a former cinema site in the town in a meeting tonight (Monday).
Ingrid Knowles, of The Regal Project Committee, will update councillors on the plans for the site in English Walls which is set to undergo a redevelopment.
It was announced in 2019 that the group wants to adapt the buildings for community use as part of a community interest initiative.
The council also consider a request for a potential blue plaque to recognise the work of Dame Stephanie Shirley.
The request, made by Jools Payne, is asking the council to pay for, and put in place, the plaque, as well as to hold a civic reception on Tuesday, March 31.
Councillors will then consider applications for financial assistance.
The meeting takes place at the Guildhall on Monday from 7pm.
