Shropshire Wildlife Trust have a number of upcoming events in the Oswestry area this month.

On Wednesday, March 18 at the Memorial Hall, in Festival Square, Alex Grant will be hosting his talk 'Source to the Sea – A journey by foot, bicycle and canoe along the Severn, to celebrate the longest river in Britain'.

Having moved to Shropshire in 2002, Alex is a trustee of Shropshire Wildlife Trust, chair of the Ellesmere branch and a member of the Love Your River group.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, March 10, there is a River Health Training Drop-in session at the River Perry in Gobowen.

This training session is roughly two hours long and gives a hands-on run through of how we can all monitor and look after our local watercourses in our own time and to our own means.
