RUNNERS in Oswestry are warming up for another 10K event which comes to the town this Sunday.

A total of 500 runners will take to the streets for the inaugural Marches School Oswestry Olympians 10k event which will set off from the school grounds at 9am.

The race will run through parts of the town, and has been re-established to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Olympians team.

Organisers Ray Pickett and Ashling Donohue-Harrison have given their thanks to the town's businesses and residents for the support they have given the race so far.

Competitors, supporters and residents who live on the race route are asked to check the Olympians website for latest race day information and updates to the road closure details.
