THE candidates to replace Clare Aspinall on Oswestry Town Council in a by-election for the Cabin Lane Ward have been announced.
The list includes former town councillor and mayor, Martin Bennett, who is one of three potential candidates for the role and will be standing as an Independent.
He is joined by Stephen Froggatt, who is standing for the Green Party, and Les Maguire, who is standing as a Conservative Party candidate.
The by-election will be held on Thursday, March 5.
