A ROTARY club in Oswestry is calling for new members to consider joining.

Oswestry Cambrian Rotary meets once a week at the town's Wynnstay Hotel, in Church Street, and is inviting more people to head along.

Mike Lade, from the Cambrian Rotary, says people can meet informally to find why the club is for them.

He said: "Are you new to the town?

"Or just want to make a new circle of friends and get involved in helping your community? But most of all – have fun with other like-minded people.

"Well, you can when you join Oswestry Cambrian Rotary for the cost of a cup of coffee a week! No upfront fee, just a Direct Debit charge of £8 a month. As simple as that!"

Oswestry Cambrian Rotary is in the new style of Rotary, is a very relaxed club and a dress code to match. No attendance requirement and fits in with modern family and work life.

If you are considering volunteer work then Oswestry Cambrian club is ready to welcome men and women of 18 plus from the community as Rotarians or as Friends of Rotary.

Mike added: "We meet informally at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings. No weekly meals for us, we just meet in the bar at 7.30pm to start our meeting at 8pm. "Why not meet me over that cup of coffee to find out more. It could be the best investment you make."
