A WOMAN who sustained life-threatening injuries during a collision in Sixpenny Handley has died in hospital.

The collision happened at around 6pm on Saturday, February 1, on the B3081 about 300-metres south of the Sixpenny Handley roundabout and involved a red VW Up BlueMotion, a black Audi A3 and a green Isuzu Pick-up.

The VW driver, a 37-year-old woman from Ringwood, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

She died on the morning of Friday, February 7. Her family has been informed.

The male passenger in the VW sustained serious injuries.

The occupants of the Audi, one adult and two children, had minor injuries and the male driver of the Isuzu also sustained minor injuries.

Police Sergeant Nikki Burt, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“I am continuing to investigate this collision and would appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision and any motorists who have relevant dashcam footage to please come forward.”
