An ART café workshop is being held at Qube in Oswestry on Tuesday, February 18.
The free event is being held to give individual artists and members of community art organisations the opportunity to design part of a lasting Ellesmere memorial.
The memorial is set to commemorate two Ellesmere sisters – Eglantyne Jebb and Dorothy Buxton, who founded the international aid charity Save the Children 100 years ago.
Artists will focus on the creation of a labyrinth alongside the mere in Ellesmere.
It will form part of a landmark art installation commissioned by the Ellesmere Sculpture Initiative, which has received grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England for an 18-month programme of activities to celebrate the centenary of the children’s charity.
