THE New Saints will be without creative winger Billy Whitehouse for the remainder of the season after the former Leeds United man was loaned out to Spennymoor Town.

Whitehouse leaves Park Hall a year after joining the Welsh champions, but is set to return to TNS in June.

The loan sees the 23-year-old move back into the English football pyramid, with the Moors playing their football in the National League North.

Spennymoor are currently ninth in the division as they set their sights on a play-off place.

After completing his move, Whitehouse said he believes Saints will go on to win the Welsh Premier League once again this season.

“I’m looking forward to getting some games in and finishing the season strong," he said.

"I’m going to miss everyone at TNS from now till the end of the season but I have every confidence that we will once again win the league.”

Saints boss Scott Ruscoe said it will be a better opportunity for Whitehouse to get more game time.

He said: "Billy will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Spennymoor.

"It will give him game time and the chance to compete in a strong, competitive league, with a team looking for promotion.”
