A MAN from Connah's Quay who got into a scuffle outside a Chester pub as 2019 ended has been fined.
Police were called to the Old Queens Head on Foregate Street at 11.50pm on New Year's Eve amid reports of a fight.
They found Aaron Evans, 28, of Railway Terrace, pushing a smaller male, Chester Magistrates Court heard on Friday, January 24.
Prosecuting, Rob Youds said door staff were refusing to let Evans back in and, due to his behaviour, he was arrested.
Evans was not present in court, having submitted a guilty plea at the first opportunity by post.
The court heard he was currently in the Armed Forces in London and it would be a long way for him to come to court and to stand down from his duties.
Evans had 19 previous convictions for 28 offences.
Magistrates fined him £290, plus £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
