WEST Mercia Police are appealing for information following a series of burglaries and break ins around Oswestry.

Overnight, between 10.30pm Sunday, January 19 and 8am, Monday, January 20, a garden shed in Whittington Road, Gobowen, was broken into and a blue Giant Trance mountain bike was stolen. (Incident number 0136s 200120.)

In Maes-y-Clywdd, there was a break in at a business premises at the Maesbury Road Industrial Estate overnight between 6pm Tuesday, January 14 and 7.30am on Wednesday, January 15.

A cash register and some tools were among items that were taken. A safe had been attacked but it had been empty. (Incident number 0072s 150120.)

On Wednesy, January 15, at around 2.45am, police received a report that premises at the Enterprise, Shrewsbury Road, Oswestry, were being broken into.

After police action, two men were followed on the A5 to Shrewsbury where two vehicles were abandoned and one of the suspects was arrested. (Incident number 0030s 150120.)

Finally, overnight between 11pm Friday, January 17 and 6.15am on Saturday, January 18, an attempt was made to break into a vehicle in a supermarket car park in Station Road, Oswestry.

A window and a door were damaged. (Incident number 0134s 180120.)
