There were plenty of runners who braved the wintery conditions to take part in the latest Henley Wood Park Run this weekend.
While the rain held off, the course proved to be slippery for participants, with the national initiative proving to be popular in Oswestry.
The free, weekly, timed 5k walk/jog/run starts at 9am every Saturday and is open to all ages and abilities.
It is organised entirely by volunteers and is friendly and fun to all comers around the town.
First home was David Barlow in 20 minutes and 58 seconds, while Alexander Arridge was second in 21:29 and youngster Alistair Clarke was next back in 23 minutes and 55 seconds.
The first female competitor back was Michelle Buckle in 24:21 while Dave Newton (24:14) was first back for local running club Oswestry Olympians with 82 runners taking part overall.
