After the competition was initially postponed earlier in December, the Founders Shield was played out at Henlle Park Golf Club before Christmas.
The battle for the shield saw 18 teams taking part in the four ball better ball format which took place on a dry and sunny day in December.
It was the pair of club captain Pete Cartwright and his son Richard Cartwright who swooped the prize with a score of 22 points.
The father and son pairing narrowly took the title on countback, with Cas Bothwell and Eugene Williams in second place.
There was more reason to celebrate for Pete who was also nearest the pin on the day with his shot on the fourth hole, winning a bottle of cognac.
Tony Davies was nearest the pin on the eighth taking home a bottle of whisky.
More Christmas competitions took place during the festive season, with the Christmas Am/Am, Christmas Scramble and Christmas 4BBB all taking place in late December.
