Chirk’s very own elf has brought festive cheer to the town’s care home after a period of fundraising in the run-up to Christmas.
Chloe the Elf was out and about across the month of December to raise funds for Chirk Court Care Home’s residents fund.
The residents fund is a pot of extra money which is put aside to provide activities and entertainment for the residents.
As part of her fundraising efforts, Chloe paid a visit to Manford’s Little Lambs day nursery in Chirk to meet the children and talk all things Christmas.
The visit to the day nursery raised £102, helping towards the grand total of £301.
As well as visiting Manford’s, Chloe also raised money through booked visits to children across the town.
She also spent time handing out sweets to children during visits to Bron y Waun, Offa Lodgevale, John Street and Walden Crescent.
After finishing her hard work in time for a rest after Christmas, Chloe paid a visit to Chirk Court Care Home to present a cheque to the staff for the residents fund.
Chloe gave the cheque to the care home’s activities co-ordinator, Julie Williams.
A spokesman for the care home said: “We would like to give a huge thanks to Chloe the Elf from everyone at Chirk Court.
“The residents loved meeting you.
“Thank you so much to Helen Pemberton and Manford’s Little Lambs.”
