Tracy Bathers receiving the West Midlands Coach of the Year Award from Adie Pottinger of England Athletics
An OSWESTRY junior athletics coach has received one of the top accolades possible from England Athletics.
Tracy Bathers, head coach at Oswestry Olympians Juniors, has been named West Midlands Regional Coach of the Year.
Tracy was nominated by the Oswestry club for her commitment over 15 years and received additional support from across the county where she is a highly respected and valued coach and team manager to Shropshire Track & Field, Sportshall and Cross Country teams.
She has also been nominated for the BBC Midlands Unsung Hero Award for which she is in the final three.
The Midlands winner will be announced today (Wednesday) and will be flown to Aberdeen for the Sports Personality of the Year ceremony in December.
